BLUEHOUND

BLUEHOUND is an ongoing series of hand-printed cyanotypes of my greyhound, Paul. Beginning as photographs, each image is transformed through the historic cyanotype process, where hand-coated negatives are exposed to ultraviolet light to produce rich blue prints.

The series emerged through experimentation. As I explored the cyanotype process, Paul became an ever-present subject. Through repetition, I found the greyhound's distinctive form uniquely responsive to the cyanotype process. Each print is made by hand, allowing subtle variations in color, texture, and exposure to become part of the final work. Every cyanotype is produced to order, making each print one of a kind.
