Magnolia

Inspired by the blooming magnolia tree outside my window, Magnolia was a piece made by hand-sewing over 100 magnolia petals into a belt, necklace and most prominently, a veil.

The piece was a practice in embracing ephemerality. The petals were collected in the morning, the veil was made by the afternoon, and by evening, the petals shriveled up. and withered away.
